A complete list of Padma awards 2026 were officially announced recently. Padma Awards, instituted in 1954, are one of the highest civilian honors of India. They are categorized in three further awards: Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan. This time 131 distinguished personalities were selected from various fields of area and were recognized for excellence in their own field and their service to our nation. Playback singer Alka Yagnik, former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Bhagat Singh Koshyari, Tamil Nadu’s Kallipatti Ramasamy Palaniswamy, and Kerala’s Malayalam actor Mammootty are among the recipients of the Padma Bhushan award.
Other recipients include Nori Dattatreyudu, Vijay Amritraj, S.K.M. Maeilanandhan from Tamil Nadu, Shatavadhani R. Ganesh, banker Uday Kotak and Vellappally Natesan. Piyush Pandey, V.K. Malhotra and Shibu Soren have been awarded the Padma Bhushan posthumously.
